The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Dall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Smirnov wants to clinch up but Dall keeps it at a distance.
Smirnov looks to clinch
and Dall counters with a right hand to the body.
Smirnov looks winded!
Smirnov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dall.
Smirnov is looking to clinch but Dall is avoiding it.

Dall takes the fight into the clinch.

Dall ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dall no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dall has control of Smirnov's left arm, preventing Smirnov from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smirnov has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dall to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Smirnov is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dall pulls down on the head and he's put Smirnov to sleep! This one is all over!

After the fight, Terryn Dall was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
