Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Maximus (ranked 254 p4p, 35 weight class) and Nakki Fakiiri (ranked 660 p4p, 83 weight class). Fakiiri has chosen Limp Bizkit- BREAK STUFF as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fakiiri gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Maximus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fakiiri has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Maximus finds it's way round the side to connect with Fakiiri's head.
Maximus lands a big head kick that sends Fakiiri tumbling to the mat! Maximus takes a step backwards and waves Fakiiri back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fakiiri is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fakiiri fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maximus, pushing him back against the ropes.
Fakiiri swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fakiiri misses with the head strike.
Maximus lands a nice uppercut.
Fakiiri throws a punch but it's blocked by Maximus.
Maximus lands a hook that snaps the head of Fakiiri backwards.
Maximus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maximus drops Fakiiri with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fakiiri looks back up at him and smiles so Maximus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fakiiri is still on wobbly legs! Can Maximus finish him?
Maximus seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maximus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fakiiri fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fakiiri walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Fakiiri limp body while Maximus jumps on to the ropes and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DJ Maximus!
DJ Maximus tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Nakki Fakiiri stepped up to the mic, saying 'My hats off to my opponent, he's a great fight great skill and tonight he was the better man. I'll be back knocking on the door of title fight.'.
