Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Konstantin Kuznetsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Punchsky! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuznetsov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Punchsky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kuznetsov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kuznetsov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kuznetsov misses with a head kick.
Kuznetsov gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kuznetsov scores with an uppercut up the middle. Punchsky has had enough of the clinch but Kuznetsov keeps him there for the moment. Punchsky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kuznetsov misses the shot to the body. Punchsky needs to keep his hands up - Kuznetsov had a free shot at his head there. Punchsky lands with a shot to the body. Kuznetsov misses with a hook
and Punchsky counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kuznetsov connects with a body shot that sends Punchsky's belly button to the back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kuznetsov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Punchsky can pounce on him.
Punchsky connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Kuznetsov staying out of range there. Kuznetsov shoots in looking for a takedown. Punchsky tries to sprawl out of it but Kuznetsov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Punchsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuznetsov clinches with his opponent.

Kuznetsov lands with a light punch inside. Punchsky makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Punchsky wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Punchsky has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kuznetsov connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Vladimir Punchsky has been cut. Kuznetsov lands a shoulder strike. Kuznetsov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Punchsky scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kuznetsov doesn't seem bothered though. Punchsky avoids the head kick by Kuznetsov.
Kuznetsov connects with a single shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Punchsky needs to keep his hands up - Kuznetsov had a free shot at his head there.
Punchsky is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. That kick from Kuznetsov tenderised Punchsky's leg. Punchsky is trying to keep his angry face on. Punchsky is still on wobbly legs! Can Kuznetsov finish him? Kuznetsov cracks Punchsky with a hook to the temple - Punchsky is on wobbly legs here! Kuznetsov swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Punchsky falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kuznetsov wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Konstantin Kuznetsov!
