Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heitor Machado (ranked 2159 p4p, 90 weight class) and Ryo Takuma (ranked 1196 p4p, 53 weight class). Ryo Takuma has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Heitor Machado's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heitor Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryo Takuma! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Machado. Takuma gets caught napping as Machado dives in and scores a takedown. Takuma manages to retain guard. Machado drops back, looking for a kneebar! Takuma looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Takuma looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Takuma! Takuma working away. A bit of a lull in the action here. Takuma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Machado's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Takuma looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Machado is trying to get back to half guard. Machado struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machado is looking for a sweep. Machado is trying to control Takuma's posture but Takuma avoids it. Machado manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Machado is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Takuma doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Machado. Machado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Takuma does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machado takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Takuma trying to control here.
Machado has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Takuma defend it? Machado steps over the head and cranks it - Takuma is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Machado!
