Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Issac Armstrong (ranked 4835 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Savage (ranked 4698 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Issac Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kyle Savage! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Armstrong tries to avoid it but Savage manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Armstrong to the ground. Armstrong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Armstrong scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Savage doesn't seem bothered though. Armstrong swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Savage is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Armstrong lands the left hand. Armstrong looks to land a left hand but Savage moved out of range nicely. Savage slips a jab from Armstrong. Savage forces Armstrong back against the cage and clinches. Armstrong goes for a takedown attempt but Savage pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Savage paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savage tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Armstrong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Armstrong feints a jab promting Savage to slip. Armstrong then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Savage slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Savage pushes Armstrong up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savage gets control of Armstrong's arms and successfully pulls guard. Savage will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Savage is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Armstrong is trying to break free. Savage is pressed up against the cage. Armstrong has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Savage down to the mat. Savage avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Savage pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Armstrong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Savage with a lazy takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Savage trying to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savage is controlling Armstrong's position as best he can from this difficult position. Savage keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Savage wants to get back to full guard but Armstrong has passed into side control. Savage is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Armstrong lands a nice forearm strike. Savage looks to move to half guard but instead Armstrong has passed into mount! Damn! Armstrong lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savage gets back to half guard. Armstrong thows a huge punch but Savage dodges it nicely.

Nice strikes from Armstrong there. Armstrong takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Armstrong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Savage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savage has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Armstrong is working away from the top position though. Savage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Savage. Savage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Savage looks winded! Armstrong distracts Savage with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Armstrong is looking to work some ground and pound but Savage has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Savage gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Savage has Armstrong pressed against the cage, preventing Armstrong from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Armstrong tries to circle away but Savage has him pinned against the cage. Armstrong goes for a takedown in the clinch but Savage prevents it.

Savage ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Savage no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Armstrong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Issac Armstrong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Savage looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Armstrong puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Savage looking for submissions off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong is nestled in close to Savage, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Armstrong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Savage can do to turn this around? Armstrong throwing shots but Savage is blocking nicely. Savage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Savage shoots and misses and Armstrong counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Savage is breathing heavily. Armstrong avoids the head kick by Savage.
Armstrong lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. The fight moves into the clinch position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Armstrong wants to get back to striking at distance but Savage won't allow it.
Savage tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Armstrong smiles and moves away.

Savage takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Savage dives in and grabs Armstrong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Armstrong pushes down on Savage's head and hops out. Savage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong avoids it really well and circles away. Armstrong half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Armstrong gets a clinch. Armstrong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Savage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Armstrong no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Armstrong wants to sweep but no luck. Savage in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Savage accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Armstrong holds on and takes a little breather. Savage scoring with some ground and pound. Armstrong looking to control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Savage's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Savage is defended easily by Armstrong. Savage tries to score a power double leg takedown but Armstrong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Savage somewhat. Savage closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Armstrong has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Savage after a bit of a struggle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Savage gets a trip takedown into half guard. Armstrong wants to control but Savage is keeping busy and won't allow it. Armstrong is doing well to control the position and prevent Savage from advancing to side control. Savage wants to stand up but Armstrong is controlling the position.
Armstrong desperately trying to maintain half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Armstrong tries to kick Savage off but Savage keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Issac Armstrong showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Armstrong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
