The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monteiro darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Monteiro wants to work for an arm triangle but Martinez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Monteiro in particular looking to stall.
Monteiro not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Martinez pushes Monteiro off but Monteiro dives into side control.
Monteiro staying calm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Monteiro scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Martinez to see if he's OK.
