The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monteiro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Monteiro is keen to just control but Price is a slippery customer.
Monteiro thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Price's head.
Monteiro takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Monteiro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Monteiro missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Monteiro lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Price regains full guard. Nicely done.

Monteiro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Price's guard.

It looks like Monteiro might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
