Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Beasley (ranked 7320 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Hunt (ranked 3182 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Beasley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brody Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beasley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hunt, pushing him back against the cage.

Hunt successfully pulls guard.
Beasley wanted to stand there but Hunt had control of the position.
Hunt is looking to stand up but Beasley isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt working for submissions but it's allowed Beasley to get to half guard.

Beasley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hunt is just riding it out for now. Beasley eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beasley is working for a kimura but Hunt is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Beasley manages to pass to mount!

Beasley working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hunt is trying to stand but he's just given Beasley his back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Beasley controlling the positon.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Beasley looking for the choke but no joy.
Hunt breaks Beasley's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hunt wants to stand and escape but instead Beasley has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Beasley gets to his feet. Hunt looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hunt moves into the clinch.
Beasley is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hunt is defending well.
Beasley goes for a takedown attempt but Hunt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hunt takes the fight into the clinch.

Beasley is trying to trip Hunt. He has hold of a leg but Hunt is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Beasley persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hunt is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Beasley dives into side control.

Hunt is trying to control Beasley's posture but Beasley avoids it.
A control attempt from Hunt but he's now mounted!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Beasley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Beasley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hunt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hunt is looking to improve his position but Beasley isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunt tries to hold on but Beasley pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Beasley stuffs the takedown attempt from Hunt. Hunt gets slowly back to his feet.

Beasley gets tackled into the cage by Hunt. Hunt maintains the clinch.
Beasley drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hunt gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Beasley wants a takedown but no success here.

Beasley pulls guard successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunt trying to control but Beasley is working from the bottom.
Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beasley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hunt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hunt trying to control but Beasley is working from the bottom.
Hunt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hunt cracks Beasley with a solid left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Beasley controls Hunt momentarily but Hunt frees himself.
Beasley wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunt.
Beasley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Beasley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hunt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beasley.
Beasley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beasley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hunt.
Beasley is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Hunt moves into the clinch.
Beasley has Hunt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hunt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Beasley has picked Hunt up - he's going for a ride! Beasley dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Beasley is working for a kimura but Hunt is defending it quite comfortably.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Beasley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hunt sees it coming and defends easily.
Hunt trying to hold on to Beasley's head to control him but Beasley postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Beasley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hunt doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Beasley.

Hunt manages to get to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hunt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mario Beasley will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Beasley manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Beasley is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hunt rolls with it to try and escape but Beasley cranks on the arm and Hunt is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
