The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yared goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Yared shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but Yared keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Yared has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rogers is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yared.

Yared moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Rogers lands with a hook. Yared tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rogers scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rogers lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Yared can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Rogers and Yared drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Rogers.
