Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Bartsch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Watson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartsch fails with a takedown attempt.
Bartsch shoots in and drives through. Watson sprawls well.
Andy Bartsch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watson has his takedown stuffed

and Bartsch counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bartsch.
Watson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Watson wants to break free but Bartsch has control.

Bartsch has hold of one of Watson's legs. Watson is fighting the takedown attempt but Bartsch gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Watson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bartsch.

Bartsch thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bartsch stops Watson from standing up.

Bartsch stands and steps away. Watson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bartsch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bartsch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bartsch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bartsch is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bartsch passes Watson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bartsch looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Bartsch seems to be looking for submissions.
Bartsch tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Watson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bartsch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bartsch is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bartsch stalling.

Bartsch is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bartsch content to control rather than advance.
Bartsch works his foot free and advances to mount.
Watson really wants to buck Bartsch off and get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bartsch wants to finish this one by submission but Watson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bartsch.
Bartsch with a couple of short strikes.
Bartsch putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Bartsch fails to move to back control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bartsch controlling from mount.
Watson has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Good control from Bartsch.
Bartsch controlling well, preventing Watson from escaping the position.
Bartsch punches the canvas rather than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bartsch working for a choke but Watson is defending well.

Bartsch working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Watson trying to control the hands but Bartsch breaks the grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Bartsch dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bartsch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bartsch.
A combination from Watson does no damage.
Horrible takedown by Bartsch or perhaps it was just good defense by Watson which made him look bad.
Watson stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Bartsch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bartsch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watson as he avoids it easily.
Watson connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Bartsch! He's out on his feet! Watson rushes in and drops Bartsch with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sam Watson!
