Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shoryu Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Peixoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peixoto has chosen Nirvana - Breed as his entrance music. Lucas Peixoto struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Shoryu Ken has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shoryu Ken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Peixoto! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peixoto misses with a takedown attempt - Ken sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ken ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peixoto moves away. Ken scores with a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Ken as Peixoto shoots in. Peixoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ken swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Peixoto or perhaps it was just good defense by Ken which made him look bad. Shoryu Ken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Peixoto. Peixoto looks gassed! Peixoto shoots in looking for a takedown. Ken tries to sprawl out of it but Peixoto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Peixoto avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Ken misses with a few strikes there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Ken. Ken scores with a three punch combo!
Peixoto throws a combination that misses and Ken counters with a nice double leg into side control. Peixoto won't be happy with that. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peixoto can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ken trying to control the action but Peixoto is working from the bottom. Ken in side control, throwing shots but Peixoto defends. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ken is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Peixoto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ken throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ken in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Peixoto is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shoryu Ken!
