Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 405 p4p, 57 weight class) and Sam McCullen (ranked 492 p4p, 75 weight class). McCullen has chosen The Foggy Dew as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shoei Braz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Sam McCullen! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McCullen's half guard. Braz is looking for a kimura here.
Braz is trying to work for a kimura but McCullen is defending well.
McCullen moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Braz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Braz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McCullen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McCullen has escaped and now he's on top! McCullen engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCullen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Braz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McCullen defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McCullen engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Braz working for submissions but it's allowed McCullen to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCullen wants to pass the guard but Braz is defending well. Braz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. McCullen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McCullen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. McCullen perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. McCullen trying to mount his opponent but Braz defends it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. McCullen not doing much here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Braz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam McCullen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A momentary lapse in concentration from McCullen enables Braz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McCullen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. McCullen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. McCullen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Braz's guard.
Braz throws his legs up looking for a submission but McCullen uses it to pass to side control.
Sam McCullen has got the better of the ground game so far. Braz is trying to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCullen is looking to take a break and control but Braz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braz tries to improve position but can't. Braz regains half guard. McCullen not doing much here.
McCullen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Braz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McCullen moves nicely into side control. Braz tries to improve position but can't. Braz is trying to work for a sweep but McCullen has mounted him! McCullen content just to control the position here. Let's hope that McCullen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Braz is staying active underneath McCullen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. McCullen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Horrible takedown attempt by Braz or perhaps it was just good defense by McCullen, which made it look bad. Braz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCullen pinned against the cage. McCullen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Braz shoots in for a takedown but McCullen shows good takedown defense. A countering left hand to the body from McCullen misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoei Braz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Braz fails with the takedown and McCullen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut. McCullen lands with a shot to the body. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Braz with a poor takedown and McCullen counters with a two punch combo. Braz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Braz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McCullen but McCullen pushes him off and we're back to square one. A slapping leg kick lands for McCullen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam McCullen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Shoei Braz's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Braz shoots for a double leg takedown but McCullen sprawls well. He's pushed Braz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Braz has his takedown stuffed and McCullen counters with a good low kick that Braz was not able to check. Braz is trying hard to land a takedown here. McCullen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoei Braz. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCullen lands with a good body shot. A cross from McCullen lands. McCullen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Braz shoots in for a takedown but McCullen shows good takedown defense. McCullen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Braz. Braz walks into a left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCullen catches Braz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! McCullen motions for Braz to come forward. McCullen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Braz has a takedown stuffed. Braz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braz with a lazy takedown attempt and McCullen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Shoei Braz's cut is getting worse. Braz misses with a takedown attempt enabling McCullen to counter with a crisp jab.
Braz is rocked! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Braz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCullen was covering up waiting for the punch and Braz finishes the takedown easily into guard. McCullen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Braz manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCullen looking to pass the guard. McCullen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Shoei Braz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because McCullen has passed into half guard!

That's three minutes gone in the round. McCullen wants to stand but Braz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. McCullen trying to mount his opponent but Braz defends it. McCullen works his way into side control. Sam McCullen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McCullen is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Braz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam McCullen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McCullen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sam McCullen! Sam McCullen opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. Shoei Braz was interviewed post fight and said 'I`ll be back'.
