Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leland Huff (ranked 4770 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Steele (ranked 4776 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leland Huff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Steele! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ron Honeybunn and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huff displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steele. Steele throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Leland Huff has been cut. Huff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Huff tries to counter with a takedown but Steele is quick to defend against it. Steele throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Steele has a takedown stuffed. Leland Huff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Steele. Huff tests Steele's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huff swats away the attempt to clinch by Steele. Steele lands a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Steele is trying to control but can't.
Huff is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Huff trying to work for an americana but Steele has managed to regain full guard.
Steele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Huff won't allow Steele to get back to his feet. Huff connects with a couple of short punches. Huff stops Steele from standing up. Huff working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Steele's head. Steele is trying to control the position but Huff postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huff gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Huff dodges the punch combination from Steele.
A solid leg kick lands there for Steele.
Huff looks for a takedown but Steele sprawls well. Huff shoots in for a takedown but Steele shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As Huff backs off Steele throws a huge counter combo but Huff manages to avoid it all. Huff shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Steele is trying to defend but Huff finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Steele is looking to get back to is feet but Huff passes into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steele wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Huff is trying to get an arm triangle but Steele is defending well. Huff tries for a kimura but Steele is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Leland Huff will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Leland Huff's cut. That's time! Huff's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Huff avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Steele or perhaps it was just good defense by Huff, which made it look bad. Huff looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Huff decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Steele, up you get! Steele throws a nice looking combination but Huff bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huff walks forward, straight into a front kick from Steele. Steele misses with a takedown attempt and Huff counters with a nice double leg into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Huff's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Huff gets to his feet. Steele looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Huff misses with a takedown attempt - Steele sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Steele tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Huff manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Some wild striking there from Steele.
Huff drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Steele is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Huff asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Huff is trying to get an arm triangle but Steele is defending well. Huff tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Steele is trying to work for a sweep but Huff has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huff avoids the attempt from Steele to control. Huff stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Huff gets the takedown into side control. Steele is looking to get back to his feet here but Huff is keeping cool and he's managed to take Steele's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huff not allowing Steele to control his hands. Huff has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Steele is in real trouble here. Huff gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Steele is tapping out! Huff wins by rear naked choke!
