Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adao Iuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humberto Saucedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adao Iuri is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adao Iuri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Humberto Saucedo!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saucedo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Saucedo clinches up against the cage.
Saucedo scores with a hook to the body.
Saucedo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Saucedo wants to get back to striking at distance but Iuri won't allow it.
Saucedo crunches a lovely knee into Iuri's ribcage.

Saucedo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Iuri closes the distance and clinches.
Saucedo is trying to break free.
Iuri is pressed up against the cage. Saucedo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Iuri down to the mat. Iuri avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
No luck for Iuri with that takedown attempt.
Iuri steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Saucedo. That one must have hurt.

Saucedo instigates a clinch.

Saucedo pulls guard effortlessly.
Iuri is looking to work some ground and pound but Saucedo has wrist control.
Saucedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Iuri is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saucedo is pulling down on Iuri's head to control his posture.
Saucedo throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Saucedo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Saucedo is adopting a defensive guard.
Saucedo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Iuri!
Iuri sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Saucedo slips a nice elbow through Iuri's hands, connecting with Iuri's forehead.

Saucedo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Iuri doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saucedo.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Iuri tries to roll over but Saucedo keeps him under control.
Saucedo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
It looks like Saucedo is going to stand back up.

Saucedo escapes and gets back to his feet.
Iuri changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saucedo tries to avoid it but Iuri manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saucedo to the ground. Saucedo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Saucedo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Saucedo.

Saucedo has Iuri up against the cage in a clinch.
Saucedo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Iuri has him pressed against the cage.
Iuri stops a takedown attempt from Saucedo.
Adao Iuri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Humberto Saucedo.
Saucedo is trying to drag Iuri to the mat but Iuri just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Saucedo has eaten all the pies!
Saucedo effectively controlling the action here.

Saucedo breaks from the clinch.

Saucedo looks for a takedown but Iuri sprawls well.
Saucedo shoots in but no luck this time.
Iuri swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Iuri clinches but Saucedo breaks the clinch

and Saucedo counters by moving into the clinch.
Saucedo throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Saucedo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Iuri throws a combination that misses

and Saucedo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saucedo throwing shots but Iuri is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Humberto Saucedo dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Saucedo closes the distance and clinches up with Iuri, looking for a takedown. Saucedo pushes Iuri against the cage but Iuri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Saucedo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Iuri misses with a takedown attempt

and Saucedo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Iuri!

Saucedo manages to capitalize on a mistake by Iuri to take his back!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Iuri is trying to break free.
Saucedo is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Saucedo gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Saucedo gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Saucedo apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Saucedo darts in and clinches Iuri up against the cage.

Saucedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Humberto Saucedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saucedo closes the distance and clinches.
Saucedo stops a takedown attempt from Iuri.

Saucedo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Iuri is trying to keep an underhook but Saucedo manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Iuri is looking for a sweep. Saucedo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Iuri is working hard here to advance position.
Iuri pushes Saucedo off looking to stand but Saucedo dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Saucedo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Saucedo decides to return to a standing position.

Iuri closes the distance looking to clinch

and Saucedo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Saucedo pressing his opponent against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Iuri.
Iuri blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Saucedo jumps guard.
Iuri postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Iuri throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Iuri working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Saucedo keeping moving, preventing Iuri from controlling successfully.
Iuri is looking to work some ground and pound but Saucedo has wrist control.
Iuri trying to control the position from guard on top but Saucedo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Saucedo misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Humberto Saucedo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Saucedo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Saucedo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Iuri is keeping the position for now.
Saucedo stands and throws Iuri's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Saucedo trying to control the action but Iuri is working from the bottom.
Iuri tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Saucedo easily slips into full mount!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Saucedo looking to control but Iuri is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Saucedo breaks from Iuri's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Saucedo controlling from mount.
Saucedo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Saucedo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Iuri is looking to escape.
Iuri on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Iuri tries to get out of the position.
Saucedo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Saucedo trying to control but Iuri is having none of it.
Saucedo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Iuri is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Iuri reaches up to try and control the position but Saucedo seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Iuri rolls and tries to escape and now Saucedo has his back!
Saucedo is looking to control Iuri but Iuri is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Saucedo controlling well, preventing Iuri from escaping the position.
Saucedo throwing damaging strikes from the back! Iuri could be in trouble here!
Saucedo lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Saucedo not allowing Iuri to control his hands.
Saucedo is landing with strikes from the back.
Saucedo is riding his opponent, not letting Iuri buck him off.
Iuri looking very determined here, making life difficult for Saucedo.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Iuri trying to control but not successfully.
Iuri rolls, trying to escape but Saucedo keeps control of the position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Saucedo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Despite being in the dominant position, Humberto Saucedo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Saucedo.

Humberto Saucedo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Saucedo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
