Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tom Baker (ranked 22999 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Nahtic (ranked 5027 p4p, 223 weight class). Nahtic is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sleeping My Day Away. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lou Nahtic!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Nahtic.
Baker with a poor takedown
letting Nahtic counter with a right hand.
Nahtic cracks Baker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tom Baker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nahtic finds it's way round the side to connect with Baker's head.
Baker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nahtic counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nahtic dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

enabling Nahtic to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Baker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nahtic might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Nahtic shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Baker eats them both and turns towards Nahtic to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Nahtic counters with a head kick. That will keep Baker thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Baker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nahtic pinned against the cage. Nahtic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nahtic is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Baker had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Nahtic moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Baker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nahtic defends it nicely.
Baker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nahtic throws a right hand that Baker ducks under and follows up with a left that Baker also avoids with ease.
It looked like Baker wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Baker shoots in looking for a takedown but Nahtic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Baker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Baker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Nahtic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Nahtic politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nahtic prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nahtic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Baker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nahtic is in Baker's guard.
Nahtic controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nahtic wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.
Baker seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nahtic on the ground.

Nahtic is working for a kimura but Baker is defending it quite comfortably.

Nahtic frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Nahtic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Nahtic is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Baker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Baker shrugs it off.
Nahtic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Baker defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Nahtic.

Nahtic with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Nahtic is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Baker is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Baker flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Nahtic anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Baker and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Nahtic slips an arm under Baker chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Nahtic has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Nahtic is squeezing on Baker like an anaconda would it's prey. Baker fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lou Nahtic!
Lou Nahtic seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Tom Baker was interviewed post fight and said 'Actors are able to trick themselves into treating anything as fantastic. It's a kind of madness, really.'.
