Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ace Ventura (ranked 2503 p4p, 289 weight class) and TJ Minchew (ranked 6384 p4p, 512 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Minchew felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Minchew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ventura gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Minchew throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ventura escapes and throws Minchew's legs to the side, diving into side control!
