Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Royal Pain (ranked 1448 p4p, 176 weight class) and Timothy Poggle (ranked 1775 p4p, 212 weight class). Pain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC Thunderstruck. Royal Pain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poggle checks a leg kick nicely.
Pain lands with a kick to the temple. Poggle shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Pain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Poggle takes the fight into the clinch.
Pain makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Pain misses with the head strike.
Poggle pushes off an throws an elbow but Pain leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Pain tries a body shot but Poggle blocks it.

Poggle tries to work over Pain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Poggle prevents a body shot from Pain.
Pain has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Poggle lands a hook that snaps the head of Pain backwards.
Pain struggles to land a body shot inside as Poggle controls his hands.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are getting on Poggle's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Pain has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Poggle after a bit of a struggle.

Pain lands with a short shot to the head.
Poggle digs a right hand underneath Pain's ribcage. Pain let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Poggle tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pain's elbow.
Pain presses Poggle against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Poggle stalling in the clinch.
Pain works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Pain got a little sloppy there for a moment and Poggle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pain has managed to get both his arms back between Poggle's legs - danger averted.
Pain passes Poggle's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Poggle is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pain scores with a couple of nice shots.

Poggle wants to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Poggle is looking for a sweep. Pain is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pain stops Poggle from getting back to his feet.
Poggle felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Pain throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pain not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pain lands strikes from half guard.
Poggle is trying to get back to full guard.
Poggle is in trouble now - Pain has advanced to mount!
Poggle is bucking up trying to escape but Pain cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Poggle takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Poggle is desperately trying to improve his position but Pain has a good base and remains in mount.
Pain connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
A big strike lands for Pain! That's really hurt Poggle and he's turned his back - Pain keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Pain jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
