Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mattias Gellotte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, She Mine! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gellotte shoots in but Mine avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gellotte tries for a takedown but Mine circles away easily and Mine counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Mine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gellotte sprawls well initially but Mine persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mine takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Mine decides to stand and escape the position. No joy there for Gellotte, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A countering left hand to the body from Mine misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mine takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like She Mine has been cut. Mine dodges the punch combination from Gellotte.
Gellotte throws a head kick but Mine moves out of range.
Mattias Gellotte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gellotte moves in looking to clinch but Mine pushes him off. Gellotte swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mine counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Gellotte fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mattias Gellotte. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gellotte is looking to clinch. Mine slips a jab and a cross from Gellotte.
Gellotte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mine moves away. A countering left hand to the body from Mine misses. Mine circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gellotte looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Gellotte stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gellotte wants it to stay on the feet.

Mine is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Gellotte with a body shot. Gellotte is breathing heavily. Mine shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gellotte pushes Mine off but Mine dives into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Gellotte trying to remain calm as Mine controls from the top position. Mine stands up and beckons Gellotte to his feet. Gellotte lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mine circles away quickly and effectively. Mine appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Mine avoids the head kick by Gellotte.

Mine is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Gellotte with a body shot. Gellotte throws a series of punches but Mine avoids them all with ease. Mine throws a right and a left that Gellotte avoids nicely. Gellotte gets caught napping as Mine dives in and scores a takedown. Gellotte manages to retain guard. Gellotte wants to get back to his feet but Mine passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mine sitting and controlling from the half guard. Let's hope that Mine has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mine escapes and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mattias Gellotte will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on She Mine's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gellotte tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mine sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gellotte somewhat. Mine doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Mine stuffs the takedown attempt from Gellotte. Gellotte gets slowly back to his feet. A head kick misses from Gellotte. A nice side step and Mine releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Gellotte scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Gellotte quickly recovers to half guard. Gellotte actively working from the bottom here. Mine stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gellotte to get to his feet. Mine is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gellotte's half guard. Mine controlling the action here. Gellotte wants to stand back up but Mine manages to pass into side control.

We're back to clinching against the cage. Mine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gellotte throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mine doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Gellotte goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Mine replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Gellotte blocks it well. Mattias Gellotte is winning the standup battle so far. A momentary lapse in concentration from Gellotte enables Mine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gellotte manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Gellotte is looking to stand back up but Mine counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gellotte.

Mine leaves Gellotte with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mine let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Gellotte misses with the combination.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gellotte enables Mine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gellotte manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gellotte is looking for a triangle here but Mine uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Mine decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
She Mine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on She Mine's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Mine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gellotte throws a sloppy head kick and Mine moves out of range easily. Mine let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Gellotte closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Mine manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Gellotte keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Mine doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A right hook to the body lands for Mine.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Still in the clinch, Gellotte scores with a nice short uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mattias Gellotte. I think Gellotte has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
