Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Cross (ranked 24540 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Tylor (ranked 6637 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Terry Cross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Tylor! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cross wants to stand up but Tylor is controlling him. Tylor content to stall in guard here. Cross wants to stand up but Tylor is controlling him. Tylor trying to control but Cross is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tylor pushes down on Cross's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cross keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tylor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tylor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tylor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tylor goes for a high kick. It partially lands. David Tylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tylor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tylor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Cross tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Cross tries to buck Tylor off but he can't manage it. Tylor lands a big shot there that rocks Cross but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tylor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cross is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cross and Tylor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross can't do much from the bottom here. Tylor is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cross's shoulder. That is not cool. Tylor trying to control the position but Cross is working away. Cross is trying to buck Tylor off. Tylor swings around for an armbar but Cross sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tylor's guard. Tylor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cross defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cross throwing strikes but missing. Tylor looking to control.
Tylor has his hands on Cross's head, controlling the position. Cross wants to stand but Tylor is controlling his posture from full guard. Cross scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tylor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Tylor dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tylor throws a leg kick which misses Cross's front leg but catches the back leg as Cross tries to avoid it. Cross shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tylor's guard. Tylor manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Cross is looking to take this one to the mat. Cross has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tylor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tylor has Cross pressed against the cage, preventing Cross from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cross jumps guard but Tylor stands there with Cross around his waist. Cross gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cross drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tylor taking a breather. Tylor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tylor clinches up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cross has Tylor pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tylor manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Tylor breaks the clinch.
Tylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Tylor is taking a breather. Cross says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tylor decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Cross tries to keep at a distance but Tylor has taken the fight into the clinch. Tylor effectively controlling the action here. Cross goes for a takedown attempt but Tylor pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cross shoots in for a takedown but Tylor shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Cross enables Tylor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cross manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Tylor showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cross working for submissions but it's allowed Tylor to get to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tylor stalling. Tylor thows a huge punch but Cross dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tylor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Tylor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cross defends it well. Cross keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Tylor is pressing down on Cross's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cross is holding on for now. Tylor is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tylor controlling the pace. Tylor is looking for a kimura here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tylor has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tylor slips a jab and a cross from Cross.
Tylor drives through with a takedown into Cross's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Cross pushes Tylor off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Tylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Nice sprawl there from Tylor as Cross shoots in. Tylor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cross has one foot on Tylor's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Tylor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tylor. That's going to slow Cross down. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tylor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cross napping and manages to drive through into side control! Tylor tries for a kimura but Cross is defending well. You can see the frustration on Cross's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tylor trying to control the position but Cross is working away. Cross is trying to control Tylor's posture but Tylor avoids it. Tylor wants to control but Cross is keeping him busy. Cross seems a little lost for a moment, as Tylor dominates the positioning. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sloppy strikes there by Tylor.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tylor feints and as Cross raises his hands in defense, Tylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cross preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tylor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cross is keeping the position for now. Cross keeping moving, preventing Tylor from controlling successfully. Tylor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cross swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross looking for a sweep. Not yet Cross, not yet. Tylor decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cross, up you get! Tylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tylor is stalling here. Cross is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Tylor seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cross has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Tylor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tylor gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tylor is looking for a sweep. Cross is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cross wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Tylor uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Cross might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tylor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Tylor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cross thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cross throwing strikes from guard but Tylor blocks nicely. Tylor has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to David Tylor. Well Tylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
