Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between CJ Smith (ranked 7537 p4p, 546 weight class) and Don Leaf (ranked 4901 p4p, 465 weight class). The key to victory for CJ Smith has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Leaf swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.
Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leaf stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Leaf closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Smith quickly recovers to half guard.
Leaf stalling.
Smith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Leaf.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
