Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carrol Sweet (ranked 4977 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Uvenchenko (ranked 4975 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carrol Sweet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Uvenchenko! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uvenchenko has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sweet pulls guard. Sweet is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Uvenchenko controlling from the top position. Sweet striking off his back but it's not causing Uvenchenko any problems. Uvenchenko content to stall in guard here. Uvenchenko postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uvenchenko throws a big elbow that misses. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sweet holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Sweet looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Uvenchenko closes the distance and clinches. Uvenchenko breaks the clinch.
Sweet clinches. Sweet pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Uvenchenko manages to pull guard.
Sweet tries to stand but Uvenchenko is controlling from the bottom. Sweet stops Uvenchenko from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sweet throws a big elbow that misses. Uvenchenko lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Uvenchenko manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Uvenchenko pulls Sweet into guard.
Uvenchenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Uvenchenko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sweet's guard.
Sweet has an active guard here but Uvenchenko has managed to pass into half guard.
Uvenchenko is looking to take a break and control but Sweet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Uvenchenko stalling. Uvenchenko trying to control the action but Sweet is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweet trying to control here.
Uvenchenko working over Sweet with some ground and pound. Sweet looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Sweet wants to control but Uvenchenko passes into side.
Sweet takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sweet is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Uvenchenko asserts his dominance and retains side control. Uvenchenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Uvenchenko has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Uvenchenko closes the distance and pushes Sweet back into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sweet jumps guard and drags Uvenchenko to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Uvenchenko postures up.
Uvenchenko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sweet wants to sweep but no luck. Uvenchenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Let's hope that Uvenchenko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Uvenchenko gets a double leg takedown into Sweet's guard. Sweet wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Uvenchenko is now in half guard. Uvenchenko seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Uvenchenko is nestled in close to Sweet, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Uvenchenko performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uvenchenko not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sweet is trying to escape back to his feet but Uvenchenko uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Uvenchenko happy to just control the position for now. Uvenchenko decides to stand back up. Uvenchenko steps back and let's Sweet get back to his feet. Uvenchenko gets the takedown into side control. Uvenchenko is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Uvenchenko working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uvenchenko slows the pace down. Vladimir Uvenchenko has got the better of the ground game so far. You can see the frustration on Sweet's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sweet looks to move to half guard but instead Uvenchenko has passed into mount! Damn! Uvenchenko working for a guillotine from mount but Sweet is in no mood to give up. Sweet working to try and regain half guard.
Uvenchenko wants to control the pace but Sweet is squirming around nicely. Sweet reaches up to try and control the position but Uvenchenko seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Sweet rolls and tries to escape and now Uvenchenko has his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweet looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Uvenchenko is persistently looking for the submission but Sweet is defending it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sweet is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Sweet is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Sweet covers up after that shot from Uvenchenko.
Uvenchenko just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Sweet looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Uvenchenko trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Sweet doesn't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Uvenchenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Sweet wants to control but Uvenchenko postures up. Uvenchenko is looking to take a break and control but Sweet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sweet trying his best to control but Uvenchenko has mounted him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uvenchenko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sweet is surviving well by controlling Uvenchenko's body position as best he can. Uvenchenko wants to take Sweet's back here but Sweet is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweet wants to hold on but Uvenchenko pushes him away. Sweet is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Uvenchenko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Sweet is desperately trying to improve his position but Uvenchenko has a good base and remains in mount. Sweet tries to hold on but Uvenchenko postures up. Uvenchenko lands with some strikes. Uvenchenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uvenchenko cracks Sweet with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sweet is rocked! Uvenchenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Oh Sweet is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooh, big shot lands for Uvenchenko! Sweet is hurt baaadly! Uvenchenko is firing away with more strikes - Sweet is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
