Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lynch Boshank (ranked 4837 p4p, 167 weight class) and Galveston Johnson (ranked 4873 p4p, 111 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lynch Boshank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Galveston Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boshank misses with a lunging right hand
and Johnson counters with a left and a right that stings Boshank.
Boshank slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Boshank misses with a lunging right hand
and Johnson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Johnson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Boshank will feel that in the morning.
Boshank takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Boshank on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A low kick from Boshank misses
and Johnson counters with an outside leg kick.
Boshank takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Johnson shoots in and drives through. Boshank sprawls well.

Johnson cracks the inside of Boshank's front leg.
Boshank defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson.
A little feinted left hand from Boshank on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Boshank looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Johnson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nice body punch from Johnson.
Galveston Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Johnson. Boshank shrugs it off though.
Boshank misses with a left hand
and Johnson counters with an outside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boshank avoids it really well and circles away.
Lynch Boshank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Galveston Johnson.
Johnson connects with a solid leg kick.
The crowd cheers as Johnson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boshank doesn't seem phased though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Boshank sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Boshank swings away with a body shot that misses
and Johnson counters with a straight right hand.
Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boshank.
Johnson darts in looking for a takedown but Boshank gets double underhooks and turns Johnson into the ropes.
Boshank swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Boshank throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Johnson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Johnson lands with a good body shot.
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
Boshank is looking to counter punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Johnson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boshank dives in for a single leg takedown but Johnson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.

Johnson throws a one two combo.
Boshank takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Boshank darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boshank prevents Johnson from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Galveston Johnson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Boshank throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.
Boshank misses with an attempted mid kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Boshank lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Johnson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Johnson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Johnson counters with a nice body kick.
Johnson scores with a body shot.

Johnson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Boshank saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boshank was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Boshank is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Johnson.

Boshank drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Boshank is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Johnson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Boshank is doing well to control the position and prevent Johnson from advancing to side control.
Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but Boshank is defending well.

Johnson is trying to control the action in half guard but Boshank is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boshank is holding on to half guard well.
Boshank continues to stall.
Boshank's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Johnson is trying to control. Boshank wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Boshank gets full guard.
Johnson won't allow Boshank to sweep him here.
Boshank pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.
Boshank has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boshank misses with a low kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boshank tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Boshank misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Johnson counters with a solid body kick.
Johnson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Johnson throws a head kick that half lands.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boshank is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Boshank circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Boshank throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Galveston Johnson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Boshank sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Boshank misses its target.
Boshank throws a big shot that misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson jabs Boshank to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson lands with a right hand.
Johnson throws a shot from downtown. Boshank moves away and avoids it.
Boshank was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Boshank takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boshank swivels and escapes.
As Johnson backs away, Boshank returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Lynch Boshank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Galveston Johnson.

Boshank closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Boshank getting side control.

Johnson is in trouble now - Boshank has advanced to mount!
Boshank looking to control and managing it successfully.
Johnson looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Johnson trying to control the position but Boshank manages to sink in the hooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Johnson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Boshank is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Johnson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Johnson for a finish.
Johnson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Boshank has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Boshank controlling the position well here. Johnson rolled but Boshank kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Boshank is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Lynch Boshank showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
