The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korchagin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rico counters with a nice body shot.
Korchagin avoids the body shot from Rico.
Korchagin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Korchagin takes one on the button.

Korchagin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rico quickly recovers to half guard.
Rico is looking to control Korchagin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rico avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Korchagin works his way into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Korchagin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rico, who protects the arm well.

Korchagin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Korchagin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rico is trying to escape and Korchagin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rico is forced to tap! Nice work there by Korchagin! Very nice indeed!
