The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A jab from Harrison finds it's way through Rex's defenses.
Rex throws the left hand but Harrison avoids the punch easily.
Rex swings away with a body shot that misses
and Harrison connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A big right from Harrison misses.
Rex takes one to the side of the head.
Harrison lands a head shot.
A left and a right from Harrison both land. Nice combination.
Harrison fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rex on the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harrison swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A low kick from Harrison is predictable there
and Rex counters with a single leg into guard. Harrison didn't expect that.
Rex working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Harrison's head.
Harrison trying to keep a closed guard but Rex is proving a slippery customer.
Rex working some strikes from top position.
Rex has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rex's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rex keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Harrison's head.
Rex gets to his feet and stands over Harrison, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Harrison felt that one! Rex unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Harrison from any more punishment!
