Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


It looks like Tralley Babel has been cut.
Babel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Babel drives through with a takedown into guard.
Johnson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Johnson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is looking to stand up but Babel isn't so interested in that idea.
Babel working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Johnson's head.
Johnson has a closed guard, preventing Babel from standing up.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Babel controls the pace.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Babel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Babel's back instead.

Babel holding both Johnson 's hands and preventing any damage.
Johnson thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Babel covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Babel wants to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Babel trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Babel manages to reverse the position and now he's in Johnson's guard. Nice work there by Babel.

Babel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Babel throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Babel moves away.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Babel pushes him off.
Babel closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Babel tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Johnson looks to land a combination but Babel avoids it well.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Babel saw that one coming.
Babel tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.

Johnson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Babel flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Babel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back!
I would not like to be Johnson right now.

Babel working for a choke but Johnson is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that James Johnson will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tralley Babel's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Babel avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Babel tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Babel shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Babel moves away.
Babel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Babel scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Babel is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Babel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Johnson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Babel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Johnson!
Babel content just to control the position here.
Johnson tries to reverse the position but Babel maintains control.
Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Johnson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Babel locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Johnson is forced to tap!
