Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kendo Hirigushi (ranked 526 p4p, 65 weight class) and Hawaiian Kickboxer (ranked 750 p4p, 90 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kickboxer's choice of entrance music: Hawaiian Kickboxer. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kendo Hirigushi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hawaiian Kickboxer!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirigushi throws a hook to the side of Kickboxer's head but Kickboxer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kickboxer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hirigushi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hirigushi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kickboxer was well out of range. Poor timing from Hirigushi.
Kickboxer misses with a head kick.
Hirigushi throwing a counter right hand but Kickboxer manages to avoid it.
Kickboxer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hirigushi.
Kickboxer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hirigushis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kickboxer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hirigushi lunges at Kickboxer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kickboxer's hand.
Kickboxer thows a leg kick but Hirigushi checks it
and Hirigushi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hirigushi misses with an uppercut.
Kickboxer now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hirigushi cracks Kickboxer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kickboxer misses with an uppercut. Hirigushi saw that one coming.
Hirigushi is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kickboxer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hirigushi counters with a straight right hand.

enabling Kickboxer to counter with a crisp jab.
Oh Hirigushi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A quick step to the side and Hirigushi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

It seemed like Kickboxer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Kickboxer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It looked like Hirigushi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Hirigushi misses the body punch
and Kickboxer counters with a stiff right hand.
Kickboxer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hirigushi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kickboxer throws a hook but Hirigushi avoids it easily.
Kickboxer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hirigushi just misses with a punch to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Some bone on bone action there as Hirigushi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kickboxer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hirigushi moves out of range of the body kick from Kickboxer.
Hirigushi takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Kickboxer counters with a right hand to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hirigushi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hirigushi throws a nice looking combination but Kickboxer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

As Hirigushi backs off Kickboxer throws a huge counter combo but Hirigushi manages to avoid it all.

Kickboxer is still on wobbly legs! Can Hirigushi finish him?
Hirigushi cracks Kickboxer on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kickboxer falls backwards against the cage. Hirigushi follows up with more strikes that drop Kickboxer to his knees. Hirigushi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kickboxer! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kendo Hirigushi!
Kendo Hirigushi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
