Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Kei Katsuro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Katsuro's choice of entrance music: Lil Wayne - Playin With Fire. Ken Kei Katsuro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Katsuro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Burnett's guard.

Burnett wants to improve his position but Katsuro is controlling well.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Burnett has given up his back here. Will Katsuro look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Katsuro is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Burnett has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Katsuro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Burnett wants to get back to full guard.

Burnett seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Burnett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Katsuro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Burnett is on top in guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Burnett swings around for an armbar but Katsuro sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Burnett's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burnett throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Burnett has an active guard here but Katsuro has managed to pass into half guard.
Katsuro moves into full mount! Burnett won't be happy about that!

Katsuro has hold of Burnett's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Burnett manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Katsuro manages to capitalize on a mistake by Burnett to take his back!
Burnett turns into Katsuro and is now in his guard.

Burnett wants to control from the top but Katsuro keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That's time! Burnett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Katsuro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Katsuro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Burnett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ken Kei Katsuro has got the better of the ground game so far.

Burnett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Katsuro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Burnett.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
