PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Seehaver (ranked 1579 p4p, 194 weight class) and Willie Stroker (ranked 24858 p4p, 557 weight class). Stroker has chosen Willy Bum Bum as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Willie Stroker has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Seehaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Willie Stroker!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Stroker gets caught flat footed, as Seehaver shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Seehaver trying to control the position from guard on top but Stroker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stroker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seehaver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Seehaver is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Stroker working for a triangle but Seehaver defends it easily.
Seehaver controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Seehaver wants to control from the top but Stroker keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Seehaver circles away from the clinch attempt

so Seehaver counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stroker keeping moving, preventing Seehaver from controlling successfully.
Seehaver slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stroker keeping moving, preventing Seehaver from controlling successfully.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Seehaver blocks a jab.
Seehaver tries to counter with a takedown but Stroker is quick to defend against it.

Seehaver drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Stroker being controlled here, momentarily.
Seehaver trying to control but Stroker is working from the bottom.
Seehaver not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Seehaver slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Seehaver thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Stroker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Seehaver controls the pace.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Seehaver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stroker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Seehaver somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Seehaver dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Stroker gets caught napping as Seehaver dives in and scores a takedown. Stroker manages to retain guard.
Seehaver is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stroker can do to turn this around?

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Seehaver gets the takedown into side control.

Seehaver advances to full mount.
Seehaver fails to take his opponent's back.
Stroker has given up his back.

Seehaver is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Stroker is defending well though. Seehaver let's go of the attempt for now.

Seehaver is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Stroker has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Seehaver has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Stroker taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Seehaver doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kyle Seehaver!
