Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Len Guerrero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolay Nekrasov! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nekrasov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Guerrero on his heels. He'll look to pass Guerrero's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are working up against the cage. Guerrero manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Guerrero turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nekrasov can't do much from the bottom here. Nekrasov is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Guerrero's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Nekrasov moves into full guard.
Nekrasov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Guerrero is defending against the submission attempts here by Nekrasov.
Nekrasov is trying to control. Guerrero wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Nekrasov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Nekrasov wants to pass to mount but Guerrero is defending the position. Guerrero pushes Nekrasov off looking to stand but Nekrasov dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nekrasov wants to control but Guerrero is keeping him busy. Guerrero really is a fat lump. Nekrasov prevents Guerrero from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nekrasov is looking to take a break and control but Guerrero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nekrasov seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Guerrero has recovered full guard. Guerrero is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nekrasov is controlling him. Guerrero looking for a sweep. Not yet Guerrero, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerrero controls Nekrasov momentarily but Nekrasov frees himself. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nekrasov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Guerrero is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Guerrero has escaped and now he's on top! Nekrasov is trying to hold Guerrero in close to prevent damage but Guerrero has managed to pass into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Guerrero is thwarting Nekrasov's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guerrero wants to stand but Nekrasov has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Nekrasov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nekrasov is defending against the submission attempts here by Guerrero.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nekrasov. Nekrasov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guerrero is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nekrasov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guerrero keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guerrero is looking to reverse the position.

Nekrasov swings around for an armbar but Guerrero sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nekrasov's guard. Nekrasov looking for a guillotine here but Guerrero defends easily.
Nekrasov is breathing heavily. Guerrero working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Guerrero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guerrero wants to stand but Nekrasov has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Nekrasov looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Guerrero passes into side control.
Guerrero stands up. Guerrero moves in looking to clinch but Nekrasov pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerrero drives through with a takedown into Nekrasov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Guerrero has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nekrasov is proving hard to escape from. Our spies down at at Tycoon Gym inform us that Nekrasov has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Nekrasov looking to control.
Nekrasov is working an open guard so Guerrero takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nekrasov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guerrero sprawls well initially but Nekrasov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Guerrero moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Guerrero working a defensive guard here.

Not yet Guerrero, not yet. Guerrero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nekrasov on the ground. Nekrasov advances to half guard. Guerrero looks like he's trying to stand up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Len Guerrero will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nekrasov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Guerrero really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Nekrasov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guerrero to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guerrero shrugs it off. Guerrero wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerrero makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Nekrasov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Guerrero to the ground. Nekrasov is now in Guerrero's guard. Guerrero uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Guerrero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guerrero seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Guerrero is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Guerrero is working for a kimura but Nekrasov is defending it quite comfortably.

Nikolay Nekrasov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Len Guerrero is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nekrasov is pressing down on Guerrero's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Len Guerrero. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guerrero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
