Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin closes the distance and clinches up with Kent, looking for a takedown. Martin pushes Kent against the cage but Kent circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kent appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Martin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kent rushes Martin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Martin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Martin fails to pull guard.
Martin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kent walks away with a smile on his face. Martin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Martin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kent's half guard.
Martin is looking to advance position but Kent won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martin works his way into side control.
Martin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kent!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Martin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kent is now in Martin's guard. A big mistake from Martin there, giving up the dominant position!

Martin is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kent has his hands clasped together but Martin extends and breaks Kent's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Martin.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Martin!
A very excited looking Frank Martin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
