Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Odis Wheetley (ranked 5712 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khon Saroth (ranked 7188 p4p, 0 weight class). Wheetley is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Odis Wheetley looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saroth shoots in looking for a takedown but Wheetley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Saroth's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wheetley is breathing heavily.
Saroth fails with a takedown attempt.
Wheetley attempts a counter takedown but Saroth avoids it well and moves away.
Saroth scores with a push kick.
Wheetley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Saroth dives in and grabs Wheetley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wheetley pushes down on Saroth's head and hops out.

Wheetley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wheetley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Khon Saroth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
