PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between First Fist (ranked 5316 p4p, 0 weight class) and Criss Lebenanski (ranked 4188 p4p, 415 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Criss Lebenanski!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lebenanski throws a sloppy head kick
and Fist counters with a right hand to the body.
Lebenanski tries to clinch but Fist is having none of it.
Fist was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lebenanski shoots in for a takedown but Fist shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lebenanski on the wrong end of a nice hook.

It looks like Criss Lebenanski has been cut.
Lebenanski slips a jab from Fist.
Lebenanski is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lebenanski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lebenanski lands an overhand right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lebenanski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lebenanski misses with a takedown attempt - Fist sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fist is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Fist throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jab, jab by Fist - just one landing.
Fist lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Lebenanski misses with a takedown attempt - Fist sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fist is looking to counter punch.
First Fist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Criss Lebenanski.
Lebenanski looks winded!
Lebenanski shoots in but Fist avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lebenanski moves in looking to clinch but Fist pushes him off.
Lebenanski tries to close the distance and clinch but Fist swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A little feinted left hand from Fist on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lebenanski shoots and misses
and Fist cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

First Fist is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fist lands a big right hand that sends Lebenanski crashing to the mat! Fist stays standing though and waves Lebenanski back to his feet!

Lebenanski is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lebenanski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fist counters with a big left hand that crumples Lebenanski! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

After winning the bout, First Fist thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
