The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SCR fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No joy there for SCR, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
SCR avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
SCR shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.
Smith throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Smith tries to strike from the bottom.
Smith is trying to control the position but SCR postures up.

SCR drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and SCR jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

SCR drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick SCR off! SCR jumps back into Smith's guard.

Terry Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

SCR manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

and SCR counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that.
Smith tries to buck SCR off but SCR is having none of it.
SCR is staying tight to Smith's torso, preventing him from escaping.
SCR working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

SCR has hold of Smith's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Smith seems comfortable defending it but SCR has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Smith is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Smith is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but SCR couldn't care less - he's delighted!
