Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Eugemia (ranked 1262 p4p, 156 weight class) and Proper Communist (ranked 1269 p4p, 157 weight class). John Eugemia has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Communist clinches up with Eugemia and pushes him back against the ropes.
Eugemia drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Communist gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Eugemia wants a takedown.
Eugemia with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Eugemia is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Communist lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Communist wants to get back to striking at distance but Eugemia won't allow it.
Communist lands an elbow that stopped Eugemia in his tracks for a moment.

Eugemia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Communist sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eugemia somewhat.

A head kick misses from Eugemia.
Eugemia gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Communist.
Communist throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Eugemia stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fighters circling - Eugemia throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A bone on bone clash there as Communist blocks the leg kick.
Communist moves into range and connects with a jab.

A low kick from Eugemia is predictable there
enabling Communist to counter with a crisp jab.
Eugemia throws the kick towards the body but Communist avoids it.
Communist has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Eugemia finds it's way round the side to connect with Communist's head.

Communist lands a shoulder strike.
Eugemia looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Communist gets through Eugemia's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Eugemia has Communist pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Communist manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Communist breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Eugemia dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Communist. That did some damage!

Eugemia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Communist is fending him off so far but Eugemia persists. Nope, Communist circles away and we're back to standing.

Eugemia feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Eugemia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Eugemia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Communist swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Eugemia drops back looking for a leg! Communist is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Communist manages to kick Eugemia off! Eugemia jumps back into Communist's guard.
Communist wants to get back to his feet but Eugemia is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Communist takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Oh Eugemia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Eugemia shoots in for a takedown but Communist shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Communist cracks Eugemia with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
