Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Laurent Gastineau (ranked 5615 p4p, 377 weight class) and Blake Jones (ranked 6164 p4p, 383 weight class). Blake Jones struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gastineau is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gastineau knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
Jones looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gastineau has picked Jones up and slammed him! Jones can't keep hold of the triangle and Gastineau manages to pass to side control!

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gastineau gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Laurent Gastineau will probably get the nod.

Gastineau has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jones to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gastineau is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jones pulls down on the head and he's put Gastineau to sleep! This one is all over!
