Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James McGuire (ranked 2313 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jones (ranked 5808 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Enter Sandman . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James McGuire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McGuire manages to break the clinch.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGuire as he jumps to the side.
McGuire forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
Jones jumps guard but McGuire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
McGuire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones shoots and misses
and McGuire counters with a nice right hand that sends Jones toppling to the canvas! Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet - can McGuire finish him?!
James McGuire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGuire clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.
McGuire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
James McGuire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but McGuire bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McGuire checks a leg kick.
McGuire comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McGuire cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jones looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McGuire finish him?
Jones is rocked!
McGuire throws a powerful right kick. Jones tried to block low but the kick was high! Jones was taken right off of his feet! McGuire jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). James McGuire!
Jumping up and down and very excited, James McGuire waved his t-shirt featuring Velocity Fightwear's logo in front of the cameras.
Andrew Jones was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back, I've got way more to offer. '.
