Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drako Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Araujo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drako Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drake decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Drake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Araujo defends it well.

Drake seems to be working for a kimura but Araujo defends the submission attempt.

Drake is working for a kimura but Araujo is defending it quite comfortably.

Drake is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drake is trying to work for a kimura but Araujo is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Drake seems to be looking for submissions.
Drake is breathing heavily.

Drake is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Drake is looking for a kimura but Araujo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Drake to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Drake is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Drake seems to be looking for submissions.
Araujo is trying to stand back up but Drake is controlling him

Drake is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Drake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Araujo defends it well.
Araujo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Araujo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drake swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Drake closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drake lands in his opponent's guard.
Drake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Drake drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Araujo dives on top into guard.
Araujo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Araujo gets to his feet. Drake looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fight stays on the outside here - Araujo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Drake looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Drake decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Drake fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Araujo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drake swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Araujo stuffs the takedown.
Araujo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Araujo doesn't manage to clinch there - Drake circles away.

Drake darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Drake is trying for a kimura here. Araujo looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Drake wins by kimura!
