Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Drew DW (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Get It (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drew DW has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drew DW!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Get It!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
It fails to land the takedown.

DW closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - DW lands in his opponent's guard.
DW has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
It looking for a sweep. Not yet It, not yet.

DW is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! It is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! It has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DW is on top in guard.

DW passes It's left leg - he's now in half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It wants to stand back up but DW manages to pass into side control.

DW stands up and beckons It to his feet.
DW circles away from the clinch attempt.
DW changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. It tries to avoid it but DW manages to keep hold of a leg and drag It to the ground. It escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Excellent takedown into side control there by DW.

DW decides to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

DW instigates a clinch.
It goes for a takedown in the clinch but DW prevents it.

DW breaks the clinch.

DW scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
It is looking for a sweep. DW is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
DW takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

It is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but DW pulls his head out easily.
It trying to control but DW postures up.
It wants to get back to full guard.
DW will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

DW looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
It trying to control from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drew DW dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



DW drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
DW scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at It to see if he's OK.
DW is working It over with some ground and pound from side control.
It is looking for a sweep.
DW lands a decent elbow from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It struggling a bit here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It tries to buck DW off but DW is having none of it.
It is trying to buck DW off.

DW goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, It has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for DW but great work by It.
It tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
It trying to control the action but DW is working from the bottom.
It working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

DW shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
It is trying desperately to improve position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It taking shots to the head.
It tries to get back to half guard but can't.
It tries to buck DW off but he can't manage it.
It is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It wants to hold on but DW pushes him away.
It is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but DW is staying active.
It can't escape the position.
It slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
It regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
DW throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drew DW dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


DW looks for a takedown but It sprawls well.

DW darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
It gets back to full guard.
It is trying to keep DW in close.
DW postures up and lands a big shot to It's brow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
It is trying to control the position but DW postures up.
It looking for a sweep. Not yet It, not yet.
It is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and DW is now in half guard.
It wants to control but DW is keeping busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

DW decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
DW passes to side control.
DW working away.
Drew DW overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It is trying to get back to half guard.
It is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on DW's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
It is looking to control DW's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can It avoid being mounted?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
It is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of DW's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take DW's back!
It slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
It punches the canvas rather than the man.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

It is persistently looking for the submission but DW is defending it well.
Get It has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Drew DW is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
DW finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Drew DW showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for DW, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
