Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jakub Seidel (ranked 4612 p4p, 146 weight class) and John Maben (ranked 4167 p4p, 61 weight class). John Maben has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jakub Seidel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Maben! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Seidel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. John Maben seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Seidel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Seidel is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Maben. Seidel drives through and clinches with Maben against the cage.
Maben tries for a takedown but Seidel manages to get underhooks.
Seidel prevents a takedown attempt there.
Maben tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Seidel avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maben jumps guard but Seidel stands there with Maben around his waist. Maben gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jakub Seidel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Maben. Maben tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maben goes for a takedown attempt but Seidel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Maben tries to keep at a distance but Seidel has taken the fight into the clinch. Seidel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Maben tries to pull guard but Seidel won't allow it.
Maben is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Seidel is defending well. Seidel gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Seidel would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seidel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've been hearing good reports from Seidel's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Seidel is looking to stand up but Maben won't let him. Maben looking to hit a scissor sweep but Seidel is one step ahead there. Maben has his foot on Seidel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Seidel works his way back into a safe position though. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seidel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Seidel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Maben counters with a series of strikes. Seidel will be more careful next time no doubt. Seidel lands with a cross. Seidel tries to clinch up and Maben counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Maben looks winded! Horrible takedown attempt by Maben or perhaps it was just good defense by Seidel, which made it look bad. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Maben is defended easily by Seidel.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seidel digs a good hook to Maben's body.
Seidel lands a jab-cross combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Seidel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maben swats him away and circles back towards the center. Seidel throws a right and a left that both miss. Seidel tries to clinch up. Seidel with a hook. Seidel throws a combination. Maben tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Seidel tries to clinch but Maben is having none of it. Seidel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seidel wants it to stay on the feet. Maben keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jakub Seidel dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Seidel throws a half hearted mid kick. Despite the aggression on Maben's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Seidel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Seidel misses with a double jab
and Maben counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Maben fails to land the takedown. Seidel is looking to counter punch. Seidel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maben paws at him with a jab and circles away. Seidel tries to clinch but Maben is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seidel fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Seidel lands a nice shot to the body.
Seidel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Maben can do to turn this around? Maben is breathing heavily. Seidel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Maben manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Seidel tries to clinch but Maben is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maben misses with a takedown attempt and Seidel counters with a left and a right... And another left! Maben is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
