Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Howlin Wolf (ranked 108 p4p, 18 weight class) and Brent Boston (ranked 818 p4p, 101 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Howlin Wolf! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brent Boston! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolf stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Boston moves out of range as Wolf strikes. Boston misses with a hook. Wolf ducked under it nicely. Boston with a jab. A combination from Boston does no damage. Boston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. It looked like Wolf wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Wolf has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gorilla Warfare in the buildup to the fight. Wolf looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wolf looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boston is fending him off so far but Wolf persists. Nope, Boston circles away and we're back to standing. Wolf tries to land a body kick and Boston decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wolf's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Wolf managing to control the position. Boston trying to control the position from guard on top but Wolf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boston working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Boston preventing the sweep. Boston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Boston stands up over Wolf, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boston lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wolf circles away quickly and effectively. Boston throws a good cross that connects.

Brent Boston dominated that round. The cut man is working on Howlin Wolf's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Boston throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wolf was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Boston takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Boston swinging wildly here.

and Wolf counters with a straight right hand. A jab from Boston finds it's way through Wolf's defenses. Boston lands a really nice looking cross but Wolf seems unphased.
Wolf is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Wolf throws an overhand right that lands on Boston's shoulder, as Boston tries to avoid the shot. Boston misses with a straight left. Boston misses with a hook
and Boston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This has been an exciting period of action! Wolf ducks under a wild hook from Boston. Wolf looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

and Boston counters with a single leg into guard. Wolf didn't expect that. Boston trying to control the position from guard on top but Wolf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wolf managing to control the position. Wolf trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Boston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wolf works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wolf trying to control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Boston won't allow Wolf to sweep him here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wolf misses the jab. Boston cracks Wolf with a good jab. Boston sizes up Wolf with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Brent Boston seems to be getting the better of the standup. A combination from Boston does no damage. A slow jab from Wolf misses its intended target. Boston throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wolf counters with a nice uppercut. Wolf changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boston tries to avoid it but Wolf manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boston to the ground. Boston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wolf ducks under a wild hook from Boston. Boston cracks Wolf with an uppercut from hell and Wolf crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Boston's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brent Boston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Howlin Wolf's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Wolf counters with a nice uppercut. The fighters circle momentarily. Wolf darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Boston misses with a double jab.
Wolf looks to land a left hand but Boston moved out of range nicely. Wolf with a hook. Boston catches Wolf with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Wolf bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wolf avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Boston, as that shot connected.
Wolf ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boston throws a right and a left that Wolf avoids nicely.

Wolf is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Wolf misses with a straight right. Wolf moves out of range as Boston strikes. Wolf pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Boston is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Boston throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wolf. Wolf throws a body punch but Boston moves out of range. Wolf cracks Boston with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Boston throws a series of punches but Wolf moves out of range. Wolf looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Wolf throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

It looked like Wolf was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boston feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wolfs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Boston connects with a nice looking jab.

Boston is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Wolf tests Boston's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boston throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wolf sees it coming and avoids it easily. Brent Boston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boston drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Wolf walks into a jab. Boston fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wolf manages to avoid it. Boston swings widly with a right hand
and Wolf counters with a nice uppercut. Boston throws a looping overhand right but Wolf ducks down to avoid it. Boston throws a poor cross that misses
and Wolf counters with a crisp right that sends Boston to the canvas! Wolf follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Howlin Wolf! Howlin Wolf retains his heavyweight title! Howlin Wolf decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
