Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marc Fuentes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aimo Kankkunen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kankkunen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fuentes circles away quickly and effectively.
Fuentes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kankkunen can pounce on him.
Kankkunen tries to close the distance and clinch but Fuentes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Fuentes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fuentes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kankkunen is fending him off so far but Fuentes persists. Nope, Kankkunen circles away and we're back to standing.
Fuentes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kankkunen throws a series of punches but Fuentes avoids them all with ease.
Fuentes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kankkunen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fuentes was covering up waiting for the punch and Kankkunen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fuentes wants to stand up but Kankkunen is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kankkunen gets to his feet - Fuentes follows without any prompting.
Fuentes circles away from the clinch attempt
and Fuentes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kankkunen drops Fuentes with a beautiful combination! Fuentes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kankkunen is looking for the KO!
Fuentes is rocked!
OH! Fuentes has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Kankkunen smells blood and charges in for the finish! Kankkunen unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Fuentes sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Aimo Kankkunen!
