Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Francisco Dimasalang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tedski Goatski! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dimasalang ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Goatski throws a shot from downtown. Dimasalang moves away and avoids it. Dimasalang thows a leg kick but Goatski checks it and Goatski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dimasalang's guard. Goatski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Goatski wants to pass the guard but Dimasalang is keeping the position. Goatski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Goatski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Goatski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dimasalang keeping full guard, as Goatski tries to pass. Goatski trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dimasalang is looking to stand up but Goatski isn't so interested in that idea. Goatski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dimasalang swivels though and keeps the full guard. Goatski stays in close to Dimasalang's body and controls the position. Dimasalang wants to get back to his feet but Goatski is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Goatski looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dimasalang throws a sloppy head kick and Goatski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dimasalang is trying to escape back to his feet but Goatski uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Dimasalang wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goatski tries to score with some ground and pound. Dimasalang controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Goatski in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Dimasalang is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
