Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Erling Koch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wesley Comchenko!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch slips a jab from Comchenko.
Jab, jab by Koch - just one landing.
Koch lands a jab to the nose.

Comchenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Koch counters with a stiff right hand.
Koch paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Koch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Comchenko instigates a clinch.
Comchenko misses with a punch to the body.
Koch managing to block the knees to the body from Comchenko.

Koch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Comchenko looks to clinch
and Koch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Koch misses with a wild combination.

Comchenko misses with a takedown attempt
and Comchenko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Koch jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Koch displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Comchenko.
Erling Koch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Comchenko.
Koch's jab looks to have found its range, popping Comchenko under the eye.
Koch is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Comchenko pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Koch dips to his left and cracks Comchenko with an uppercut!
Comchenko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Comchenko there as he acknowledges the shot.

Koch gets tackled into the cage by Comchenko. Comchenko maintains the clinch.
Comchenko throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Koch manages to break the clinch.
Koch is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Comchenko takes one to the chin there.
Comchenko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Koch lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Comchenko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Comchenko moves into the clinch.

Comchenko has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Koch is trying to keep an underhook but Comchenko manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Comchenko is looking to take a break and control but Koch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Koch tries to get out of the position.
Comchenko wants to control from the top but Koch keeps moving.
Koch wants to stand and escape but Comchenko is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Koch fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Comchenko has managed to clinch.

Comchenko has picked Koch up - he's going for a ride! Comchenko dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Koch manages to escape and get back to his feet!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Comchenko tries to clinch but Koch moves away
and Koch counters with a one-two to the body.
Comchenko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Koch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Comchenko somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erling Koch dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Koch lands a really nice looking cross but Comchenko seems unphased.
Comchenko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Comchenko tries to clinch there but Koch circles away.
Koch lands with an overhand left.
Koch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Comchenko can do to turn this around?

Comchenko's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Koch connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Comchenko scrambles back to his feet.

Koch scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Erling Koch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Koch lands with a nice combination. Comchenko backs away looking to recover.

Erling Koch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Comchenko has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

It looked like Koch was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Koch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Koch lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Koch throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Comchenko on the side of the head.

Erling Koch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Comchenko.
Comchenko tries to clinch up.
Comchenko seems to have recovered his senses.
Comchenko walks into a stiff left hand from Koch.
Koch lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Koch feints a jab promting Comchenko to slip. Koch then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Comchenko slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Comchenko takes one to the side of the head.
Comchenko dodges the punch combination from Koch.
Comchenko wants to counter the offense by Koch and move into the clinch position.

Comchenko closes the distance and clinches.

Koch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Nice uppercut lands for Koch. That snapped Comchenko's head back.
Koch is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Comchenko tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Koch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Koch connects with a jab.
A jab from Koch finds it's way through Comchenko's defenses.
Comchenko with a poor takedown
and Koch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Koch lands a left and a right that send Comchenko crashing to the mat, dazed. Koch thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Comchenko misses with a double jab
and Koch scores with a counter punch that sends Comchenko to the canvas! Koch smells blood - he's punishing Comchenko with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Comchenko has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erling Koch!
Erling Koch gave a mention to M.O. Fight Wear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
