Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elton Frost (ranked 24825 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boom Laka (ranked 4662 p4p, 461 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Elton Frost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boom Laka! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laka misses with a series of wild punches.
Laka misses with a few strikes there.
Laka just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromFrost. Frost takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Laka swats away the attempt to clinch by Frost. A telegraphed right hand from Laka misses the target. Laka misses with a body shot.
Laka moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Frost circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Frost was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Laka connects with a jab. No joy there for Laka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Laka scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Frost takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Laka lands a two punch combo.

Frost gets a takedown into half guard. Laka tries to kick Frost off in order to stand up. Frost Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Frost landing strikes. Frost controlling from side mount. Frost cracks Laka with a big elbow. Frost is putting a hurting on Laka here, landing some big shots from side control. Laka tries to improve position but can't. Frost takes a little break here. Laka wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frost seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Laka for as long as he can get away with. Frost lands an elbow. Laka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Frost has just dragged him back down to the mat. Laka is looking for a sweep. This has been an exciting period of action! Frost just content to control the position. Laka tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laka is trying to control Frost's posture but Frost avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frost working the head with strikes. Frost lands some shots froms side control. Laka is looking to regain half guard here but Frost keeps moving and retains side control. Laka taking punishment in the form of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost controls the position from side control. Frost lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Laka down.
Frost is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Laka's shoulder. That is not cool. Frost has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Frost scores with punches from side control. Frost is chipping away with strikes.

Laka tries to bench press Frost off him but Frost keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Boom Laka will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Laka works over Frost's head and body with a nice combination. Laka's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Laka duly obliges. Frost bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Laka is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Frost is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Frost in side control lands a decent elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Laka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Frost wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Laka struggling a bit here. Frost working the ground and pound. Laka takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Frost lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Laka is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Frost connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Laka some visible discomfort.
Frost takes a little break here. Laka wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Laka is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Frost is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Frost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Frost lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Laka hang on?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laka tries to reverse the position but Frost maintains control. Elton Frost overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Frost looking to control and managing it successfully. Frost working Laka over with strikes here. Frost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Laka tries to get back to half guard but can't. Frost controlling his opponent. Laka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Frost content just to control the position here. Laka in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Frost lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Frost tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Laka is bucking up trying to escape but Frost cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Laka is in a horrible position here. Frost smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Frost is riding his opponent, not letting Laka buck him off. Laka is trying to get back to his feet but Frost has full control of the position and if anything, Laka has just worked his way into a worse spot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elton Frost dominated that second round. That's time! Frost's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Laka ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Elton Frost is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Laka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Frost moves into the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Laka creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Frost blocks an uppercut.
Frost drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Laka gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laka unloads a knee to the mid-section. Frost is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Laka pulls him back up using the underhooks. Frost tries for a takedown but Laka manages to get underhooks.

Frost has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Laka wants to control the position but Frost says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Frost sitting and controlling from the half guard. Laka has hold of Frost's hands but Frost slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Laka has hold of Frost's hands but Frost slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Well, if Frost is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
