Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fabian Armstrong (ranked 7150 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Ngau (ranked 4809 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Ngau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong looks to land a left hand but Ngau moved out of range nicely.
A head kick from Ngau lands but Armstrong takes it in his stride.
Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ngau throws a big counter head kick but Armstrong avoids it with no problem.
Ngau looks to throw a body kick
and Armstrong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ngau ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Armstrong moves away.
Armstrong misses with a wild combination.
Ngau now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ngau connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Ngau lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ngau misses with a kick to the body.
Armstrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ngau tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ngau to the ground. Ngau escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Armstrong was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Ngau lands a really nice looking cross but Armstrong seems unphased.

Armstrong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ngau. That one must have hurt.
Ngau has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Ngau tries a head kick but it misses.

Armstrong throws a series of punches but Ngau avoids them all with ease.
Ngau steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ngau. That's going to slow Armstrong down.
Ngau tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ngau dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Armstrong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ngau manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ngau gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ngau has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Armstrong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Armstrong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ngau wants to sweep but no luck.
Armstrong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ngau is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Armstrong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ngau throws a body punch but Armstrong moves out of range.

A bone on bone clash there as Armstrong blocks the leg kick.
Ngau scoring well with a low kick there.

Armstrong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ngau circles away quickly and effectively.
Ngau has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ngau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ngau feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Armstrong's calf.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Armstrong tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ngau defends well and Armstrong ends up having to push Ngau into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Armstrong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ngau's guard.

Ngau stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ngau wants it to stay on the feet.

Armstrong throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Armstrong wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Ngau is now in half guard.

Ngau takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Armstrong manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ngau keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Ngau feints a jab promting Armstrong to slip. Ngau then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Armstrong slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Ngau tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Armstrong is able to avoid easily.

Armstrong closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ngau's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Junior Ngau.
