Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Padilla (ranked 2360 p4p, 256 weight class) and EA Poe (ranked 2539 p4p, 272 weight class). Poe has chosen Unleashing The Bloodthirsty by Cannibal Corpse as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Padilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 24 - 0, fighting out of New York, EA Poe! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Padilla.
Padilla throws a push kick but Poe slaps the foot to one side. Padilla scores with a hook. Padilla throws a body kick that misses. Poe appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Padilla closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Padilla is defending well against a takedown attempt. Padilla throws a punch but it's blocked by Poe. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Padilla. Padilla misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Poe.
Poe is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Padilla can't fight it off and eventually Poe manages to take the fight to the floor. Padilla looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Poe trying to control but Padilla is working from the bottom. My spies in Touch Of Death Combat Academy inform me that Poe has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Poe scoring with punches to the head and body. Padilla is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Westside Martial Arts that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Poe wants to pass the guard but Padilla is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Poe scoring with punches to the head and body. Padilla wants to sweep here but Poe controlling him for the moment. Padilla is trying to hold Poe in close to prevent damage but Poe has managed to pass into half guard.

Poe content to control rather than advance. Padilla tries to get to full guard but Poe has control of the leg. Poe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Padilla takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Poe trying to control but he's not successful this time. Padilla is working to get back to half guard.

A lazy body kick from Padilla letting Poe counter with a right hand. Poe looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Poe content to stall in guard here. Poe stops Padilla from standing up. Padilla trying to keep a closed guard but Poe is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Poe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Poe looking to pass the guard. Poe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Padilla lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Poe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Padilla is looking to improve his position.
Padilla has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Poe is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Padilla does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Padilla is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Padilla keeping moving, preventing Poe from controlling successfully. Poe won't allow Padilla to sweep him here.

EA Poe has got the better of the ground game so far. Padilla has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Padilla looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Padilla tries to clinch there but Poe circles away.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Poe blocking some punches.

EA Poe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Padilla closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Padilla misses with a punch on the inside.
