Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joosep Lõhmus (ranked 130 p4p, 19 weight class) and Samuel Kravac (ranked 700 p4p, 112 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joosep Lõhmus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Kravac!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lõhmus misses the jab.
We've been told by Lõhmus's head coaches at AK Beasties that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lõhmus takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kravac uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lõhmus.

Kravac checks the leg kick nicely there.
The crowd cheers as Kravac lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lõhmus doesn't seem phased though.
Kravac connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lõhmus's hands.
Lõhmus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kravac.
Kravac throws a body punch but Lõhmus moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kravac drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lõhmus can't do much from the bottom here.
Lõhmus is looking to regain half guard here but Kravac keeps moving and retains side control.

Kravac is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lõhmus knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Lõhmus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kravac throws a strike aimed at the side of Lõhmus's head but Lõhmus avoids it well.
Lõhmus takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Kravac is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lõhmus knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kravac tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kravac has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kravac has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lõhmus on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kravac is putting a hurting on Lõhmus here, landing some big shots from side control.

Kravac misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kravac is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lõhmus has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kravac has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Kravac looking to secure an arm triangle but Lõhmus defends it well.

Kravac is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lõhmus to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lõhmus shrugs it off.
Kravac throws some wild stikes that Lõhmus manages to avoid easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kravac is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lõhmus has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lõhmus!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lõhmus missing with a left hand there. Kravac was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Joosep Lõhmus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kravac takes a swing at Lõhmus's ribcage but misses.

Kravac fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lõhmus sprawls well initially but Kravac persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kravac is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lõhmus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kravac.
Lõhmus wants to get back to full guard.

Kravac in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lõhmus tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kravac!
