Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Tonon (ranked 2509 p4p, 291 weight class) and Ibbe Ribbler (ranked 1268 p4p, 166 weight class). Tonon comes to the cage accompanied by What About Now. Ribbler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad Religion - Infected. On his way into the cage it seems that Gary Tonon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gary Tonon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ibbe Ribbler!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonon shoots for a double leg takedown but Ribbler sprawls well. He's pushed Tonon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ribbler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ribbler showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ribbler prevents Tonon from improving his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ribbler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tonon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ribbler is trying to control the action in half guard but Tonon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Tonon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A nice side step and Ribbler releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Ribbler wants to control from the top but Tonon keeps moving.
Ribbler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tonon's head.

Tonon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ribbler was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Ribbler swats away the attempt to clinch by Tonon.

Ribbler is stalling here. Tonon is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ribbler seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tonon has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Tonon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Tonon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ribbler manages to get himself to full guard.
Tonon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

I think Ribbler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
