The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Le Banner or perhaps it was just good defense by solid which made him look bad.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Le Banner might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control solid kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Despite being in the dominant position, Steve Le Banner just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
solid is fighting to break Le Banner's control of his arms but Le Banner is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting solid here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

solid throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Le Banner escapes and throws solid's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
