Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diamond Jones (ranked 4219 p4p, 422 weight class) and Jack Holloway (ranked 4697 p4p, 443 weight class). Jack Holloway has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diamond Jones !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Holloway!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Holloway, which made it look bad.
Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Holloway moves into the clinch.
Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jones is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Holloway will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jones up against the cage.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Holloway has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diamond Jones . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Holloway ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Holloway no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Holloway is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Holloway has escaped and now he's on top!
Holloway not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Holloway is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Holloway looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Holloway decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jones thumps Holloway with a low kick.
Holloway scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Holloway perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holloway not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jones pushes Holloway off looking to stand but Holloway dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Holloway is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Holloway is very close to passing his half guard.
Holloway landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Holloway is controlling the pace.

Jones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Holloway scores with a couple of nice shots.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holloway connects with a nice short shot to Jones 's temple.
Jones wants to control but Holloway is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jones holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Jones wants to improve his position but Holloway is controlling well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Holloway's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jones tries to clinch up
and Holloway connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Holloway.
Holloway with the counter takedown but Jones avoids it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Holloway looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Holloway tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Holloway dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Holloway.
Jones shoots and misses
and Holloway counters with a big head kick but Jones shrugs it off.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jones . Holloway shrugs it off though.
Holloway stuffs the takedown.
Holloway tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Holloway darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Holloway into the cage.

and Holloway counters with a right hand to the body.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Holloway won't be happy with that.
Holloway explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Jones shoots for a takedown but Holloway saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Holloway drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Holloway manages to pass to side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Holloway is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Holloway decides to stand and escape the position.
Jones tries to sprawl but Holloway drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jones kicks Holloway off and gets back to his feet.

Jones throws a head kick but Holloway moves out of range.
Holloway shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Holloway closes the distance and clinches.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones fails to pull guard.
Holloway can't get the takedown.
Holloway has picked Jones up - he's going for a ride! Holloway dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jones pushes Holloway off but Holloway dives into side control.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.

Holloway lands some shots froms side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Holloway has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Holloway closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Holloway getting side control.
Holloway keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Jones regains full guard. Nicely done.
Holloway with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jones wants to sweep here but Holloway controlling him for the moment.
Holloway gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.

Jack Holloway showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Holloway shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Holloway slows the pace down.
Holloway is working Jones over with some ground and pound from side control.
Holloway lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jones down.
Jones is rocked!
Holloway content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holloway stands up and beckons Jones to his feet.
Holloway shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Jones is out cold and this one is all over!
